Ala' al-Din al-Kasani (d. 587 AH) of Aleppo, called the King of Scholars, married the daughter of his teacher al-Samarqandi.
It is a commentary on al-Samarqandi's Tuhfat al-Fuqaha', presented to his teacher and reportedly accepted in place of a dowry.
Unusually systematic: each subject is broken into causes, conditions, pillars and rulings before the details are addressed, which makes the school's logic visible.
Valued as the most rigorously ordered Hanafi work and widely used for comparative fiqh.
